Upcoming Events2026 Is the 43rd Annual SWCS Legislative/Informational Breakfast:
The Nebraska SWCS Chapter will hold its 43rd Annual Legislative/Informational Breakfast from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m., February 5, 2026, in the lower-level meeting room (Lincoln Room) at 1233 Lincoln Mall in Lincoln. Entry is on the backside (south side) of the building. There is abundant street parking nearby. Metered parking is free until 8:00 am. Refreshments will be served beginning at 7:00 with the program scheduled to begin at 7:20. This year’s speaker is Conor Ward, Acting Assistant State Conservationist for Programs with Nebraska NRCS. Conor will discuss the new NRCS Regenerative Pilot Program. This program addresses whole-farm resource concerns through support for voluntary regenerative agriculture conservation plans. By integrating bundled regenerative practices into single applications, closing program loopholes, and recognizing outcomes, NRCS will deliver lasting benefits for farmers, natural resources, and the American consumer. Emphasizing regenerative agriculture builds upon NRCS’s 90 years of existing conservation work by restoring land health, improving long-term productivity, and ensuring American grown production for the future. Information on the pilot program can be found at New NRCS Regenerative Pilot Program 2026 Annual Meeting will be held in Ord, Nebraska, near the end of June. More information will be posted here in the future.
